Building Strong

This workout is inspired by trainer Ben Bruno. It's a workout he did when he was "building" himself "back up" after a few months off training because of a back flare up. The workout links to the Instagram post that shows the exact moves and sequence. Note that this is an inspiration and not the exact workout.

Time: 31 minutes

Equipment: dumbbells, bench, pull up bar, gymnastic rings or suspension trainer

The Sequence

Block 1: Warm up (1x)

  1. Cat cow

  2. Thread the needle

  3. Down dog to up dog

Block 2: (2x)

  1. Chip-up

  2. Rotational split squats

  3. Feet elevated push up

Block 3: (2x)

  1. Alt lateral raise with isometric hold

  2. Dead bug

  3. Single-leg hip thrusters ‘

Block 4: (2x)

  1. Inverted rows

  2. Wall sit with heel raise

  3. Standard push up
